Zoë Grandstaff-Gruber is an Emerson College senior originally from Los Angeles, California. Driven by the dramatic, playing with light, and the desire to tell a story through a variety of subject matter.

Manic Sleepover

Manic Sleepover, is a 10-photo diptych, shot on a Mamiya 7ii. The diptych intends to convey the feeling of laying in bed at night while feeling restless and without anything you can do about it.

Closet Case

Closet Case is a photo series shot on a Nikon D3200, showing how a persons fashion can express ones personality. The series centers around a woman’s closet, as her clothes jump out at the viewer letting them see how she expresses herself through her clothing.

H Portfolio

This photo series, shot on a Mamiya 7ii, is inspired by Robert Mapplethorpe. Pulling from his use of the human form and making it almost sculpture-like and dramatic, this series is a feminine take on Mapplethorpe’s work.
